HANCOCK — Western Upper Peninsula Health Department (WUPHD) has started using a new software tool, Patient Education Genius (PEG) to help support COVID-19 case investigations and prioritization of disease outbreaks. When the health department receives notification of a person who tested positive for COVID-19, the PEG system will issue that individual a text message and/or e-mail with a link to an online survey. LANSING — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is recommending vaccine providers across the state resume the use of Johnson & Johnson vaccine to vaccinate Michiganders age 18 and older.
