ONTONAGON — Ontonagon County recorded its first COVID-19 death, the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department confirmed Saturday. The elderly person had been an inpatient at an Upper Peninsula Hospital, the WUPHD said in a release. LANSING — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) today revised and extended its epidemic order to contain the spread of COVID-19, as Michigan continues to see a surge in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.
