The Copper Country Intermediate School District Career and Technical Education Construction Technology program students and staff have designed and handcrafted a sauna, and it is now available for the community to purchase via silent auction.

After weeks of analysis, CAD design and construction, the CTE Construction students have built a sauna from the ground up. The public is now invited to purchase this student-built structure through a silent auction.

The silent auction will conclude at noon Friday, May 24. The sauna must be moved by the end of the day on Friday, May 31, at the winning bidder’s expense and arrangements. The minimum bid is set at $9,500. To place sealed bids, visit Loret Roberts, Executive Secretary to the Superintendent, Copper Country ISD Superintendent’s Office, 809 Hecla Street, Hancock, MI. For additional questions, please call Loret Roberts at 906-482-4250 ext 182.

The sauna is on display near the CCISD Career Tech Center (across from the La Cantina Restaurant) in downtown Hancock. Please be aware that the buyer is responsible for all costs, insurance and compliance with laws/regulations related to the transportation of the building.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to support the students and enjoy a unique sauna experience.
