History of bathing suits

MARQUETTE — What’s the connection between bathing suits and women’s right to vote? Join as the Marquette Regional History Center and the League of Women Voters offers a special presentation at 5:30 p.m. April 22 at the center located at 145 W Spring St. in Marquette.

Carrie Moon-Dupree, director of development for the League of Women Voters of Michigan, will showcase her collection of vintage to modern swimwear, tracing the style changes as a mirror of the changing history of women’s rights in the United States.

This fundraiser for the League of Women Voters of Marquette County will support its efforts to provide non-partisan voter education, voter registration, and candidate forums.
