CALUMET — The CopperDog sled dog races are an annual world-class event, kicking off in Calumet, Michigan. This multi-day event covers races of differing lengths across Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, and other immersive events to learn about and celebrate the sport of sled dog racing. This year’s event takes place, Friday through Sunday. The races start in downtown Calumet. This year the CD150 and CD 80 will finish in Laurium.

Here’s this year’s schedule.

• 7 p.m. CD 30 starts 200 Block of 5th St. Calumet

• 11:30 p.m. CD120 Stage 1 Start, 200 Block of 5th St. Calumet

• 1 a.m. CD 30 Awards Ceremony 321 Center St. Eagle Harbor

Saturday

• 8 a.m. CD120 Stage 2 Center St. Eagle Harbor

• 1 p.m. CopperPull First Weight Pull The Gipp, Laurium

• 1 p.m. CD120 Stage 2 Finish 3rd St. Copper Harbor
