BARAGA COUNTY – A section of U.S. 41 in Baraga Township was closed to two-way traffic Thursday due to flash flooding after severe thunderstorms produced heavy rain. Several roads were closed due to flooding or washouts, including Bayshore Road.

At 5:32 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for portions of Baraga County until 10 a.m. that morning.

A 5-15% chance of strong to severe thunderstorms was also possible last night heading into this morning.
