Stormy Kromer Launches Collegiate Collection

IRONWOOD — Stormy Kromer, the legendary Midwestern cap brand known for its rugged wool caps and rich manufacturing heritage, announced the launch of a new Collegiate Collection — a line of officially licensed caps representing 18 universities across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, including Michigan Technological University.

Acording to a Stormy Kromer press release, the new collegiate collection is “crafted with the same time-tested durability and distinctive design Stormy Kromer has been known for since 1903, each cap in the collection is cut and sewn in Ironwood, Michigan, and features custom embroidery in the colors and logos of some of the Midwest’s most beloved universities.

“There’s something special about Midwestern pride — whether it’s pride in your team, your school, or your community,” said Gina Jacquart Thorsen, CEO of Stormy Kromer. “This collection brings it all together: Our deep roots in Midwest manufacturing with the iconic symbols of our region’s top schools.”

In addition to the Michigan Tech cap, the launch includes licensed caps all state universities in Michigan, University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University in Minnesota and five public universities in Wisconsin

According to the release, “From campus walks to snowy tailgates, these caps are designed to keep fans warm while showing their team spirit — with all the craftsmanship and character you’d expect from Stormy Kromer.”
