GREEN BAY – Shopko Optical, providing eye care to communities for more than 40 years, announced the opening of a new center at 901 W. Sharon Ave. in Houghton. The new location is now open providing patients with comprehensive eye care services, including eye exams, contact lens fitting, and detection and management of eye disease.

“We are thrilled to join the Houghton community,” said Russ Steinhorst, Shopko Optical CEO. “With this new location, we can once again provide our patients with the quality eye care and eyewear services they’ve known us for. We operated a Shopko retail store and eyecare center here through mid-2019, and we’re excited to be back.”

In addition, Shopko Optical’s Kids in Focus program will work with the local Houghton Lions Club to identify eligible children within the area to receive a comprehensive eye exam and pair of glasses at no charge from Shopko Optical. Those looking to participate can contact their local Lions Club.
