L’ANSE — Baraga County Memorial Hospital has introduced its Veteran Wall, a tribute to the service and sacrifice of veterans connected to our hospital family. The idea for the wall was developed and organized by members of the BCMH Employee Recognition Committee, who wanted to create a space to honor staff and their immediate family members who have served our country.

The wall is a visible reminder of the dedication, courage, and commitment of those who are part of our BCMH community.

This project was made possible with help from several individuals and local partners. BCMH acknowledges Christine Bianco Photography for bringing the photos to life and Julie Djerf of Keweenaw Engraving for creating and generously donating the name tags.

The Employee Recognition Committee appreciates Homestead Graphics for designing and installing the, and Committee Member Gregg Fisher for crafting and donating the emblems representing each branch of service. We’d also like to recognize our maintenance team for their help in assembling and hanging the display.

“We’re proud to recognize the service of our staff and their families through this Veteran Wall,” said CEO Rob Stowe. “It’s a meaningful way to honor their commitment and keep their stories visible within our hospital.”

While the wall is nearly complete, it will continue to grow over time as additional photos are shared. Staff are welcome to continue submitting photos of themselves or their immediate family members who have served so we can expand this tribute.

We are honored to recognize those who have served and to share their stories within our hospital. This Veteran Wall stands as a lasting expression of our gratitude and respect.

Starting at $3.50/week.
