HOUGHTON — Miron Construction and Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP joined leaders from Aspirus Health last week to celebrate the start of construction at Aspirus Houghton Clinic. Site preparation and fencing installation started in May, and last week marked the formal start of on-site work by construction crews for the $5 million dollar project which will improve efficiency, access and patient experience.

According to a press release, “Aspirus is dedicated to enhancing the quality of healthcare in the Upper Peninsula. As the demand for improved care continues to grow, Aspirus is taking proactive steps today to expand essential resources for the community.”

The facility renovation and expansion is designed to accommodate 13 new exam rooms, two new procedure rooms, a drive-through pharmacy, redesigned central registration and waiting area, and updates to the existing space.

While the clinic has served this community for many years, it became clear that to meet the growing needs of our patients, we needed to expand services and capacity.”

The estimated completion date of the Aspirus Houghton Clinic Renovation and Expansion is January 2026.
