Discussion on pregnancy and infant loss

HOUGHTON — A presentation and discussion coming up later this week will focus on a very important and often hidden topic of grief which touches many lives. This event, a free discussion focused on Pregnancy and Infant Loss is sponsored by Omega House and the Grief Awareness and Education Alliance. It takes place from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Portage Lake District Library. This event is free and available to everyone regardless of gender

According to an Omega House press releaase, rief following the loss of a pregnancy or infant is a deeply personal and often unspoken experience. Whether the loss occurred recently or many years ago, the emotions can be profound and long-lasting.

This compassionate and informative evening will focus on understanding and navigating this unique form of grief. This free community presentation and discussion is open to everyone–regardless of gender, background, or where you are on your grief journey.

According to the release, “together, we’ll explore the emotional, physical, and spiritual impacts of this type of loss, as well as ways to support yourself and others through healing.”

Sponsored by Omega House and the Grief Awareness and Education Alliance, this event offers a safe and welcoming space for connection, education, and support.
