Seeking food pantry projects

HANCOCK — Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is seeking concept papers for a Food Pantry Grant, designed to strengthen food security and support vital food pantry services throughout the Copper Country. Concept papers are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026. Original projects that focus on increasing access to food or strengthening food pantry operations will be invited to apply for the Food Pantry Grant.

Copper Shores will award up to $150,000 in total, with no maximum individual award. Funding for this grant cycle is made possible through a collaborative partnership with the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, reflecting a shared commitment to improving health outcomes by addressing food insecurity. Grant funds are intended to support the procurement of food pantry supplies, direct food assistance and capacity-building efforts that help food pantries better serve residents across the Copper Country.

Through this grant opportunity, Copper Shores continues its commitment to strengthening community health by ensuring access to nutritious food and supporting the organizations that make that access possible.
