UGL Expands Pediatric Team
Recruitment effort continues
Upper Great Lakes Family Health (UGL) is proud to continue growing its pediatric team to meet the needs of families across the Upper Peninsula. With rising demand for pediatric care and recent additions to its provider group, UGL is actively recruiting clinical support staff to help ensure children receive high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
UGL’s pediatric team includes eight dedicated providers: Rajanee Sripaipan, MD; Colleen Vallad-Hix, DO; Michael Verive, MD; Jared Meyette, MD; Cathy Azzarello, MD; and three new additions in 2025 — Anna Meyers, DO; Emma Buchele, DNP; and Katie Brewster, NP. Most providers see patients at UGL’s Hancock Pediatrics clinic, with additional coverage available at other UGL locations throughout the Upper Peninsula.
“We know how important it is for families to have access to consistent, high-quality pediatric care close to home,” said Anna Meyers, DO, pediatrician at Upper Great Lakes Family Health. “Being part of a collaborative team that truly cares about both patients and each other makes a real difference — not only in the care we provide, but in how supported families feel every time they walk through our doors.”
UGL provides comprehensive pediatric services including well-child visits, immunizations, same-day sick visits, developmental screenings, behavioral health support, and chronic condition management. By continuing to invest in its pediatric team, UGL is helping ensure children across the Upper Peninsula receive the care they need at every stage of development.
To support this continued growth, UGL is actively recruiting medical assistants, nurses, and other pediatric clinical support staff. Current openings may include:
• Medical Assistants
• Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
• Registered Nurses (RNs)
• Patient Service Representatives
• Pediatric clinical support staff
Team members enjoy competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where they can make a meaningful difference in their community.
“Strong pediatric care starts with strong teams,” said Bailey Patrick, Chief Operating Officer at Upper Great Lakes Family Health. “We are committed to creating a workplace where our staff feel supported, valued, and proud of the care they provide. As our pediatric services continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome new team members who want to build their careers while making a real impact for families across the Upper Peninsula.”
