End-of-life planning workshop to be held
HOUGHTON?- There are many important questions that need to be asked when making end-of-life plans, and a workshop at the Portage Lake District Library aims to help participants plan ahead.
On Wednesday, The Community Coalition on Grief and Bereavement will present “Planning Ahead from Living to Dying: Making Decisions.” According to a release, the event will be a panel discussion featuring local professionals Katriina Hopper, MD; attorney Roger Helman, and social workers Sarah Baratono and Kathy Ptaszek. The workshop will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
According to the release, topics will include what you need to tell your doctor about your end-of-life wishes, financial planning, and understanding what paperwork is needed to ensure your wishes will be carried out.
There is no cost to attend the event, and light refreshments will be served. For more information, email Nancy Wakeman at nlwakeman@gmail.com or visit www.grief-ccgb.org.
