Donate Books for the Friends of the Michigan Tech Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Michigan Tech Library annual used book sale is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3, in the Memorial Union Ballroom. From 5 – 7 p.m. on April 2, the sale is for members only, who shop with first choice. Memberships are available at door for $20 for individuals and $15 for seniors; membership is free for students.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 3, the sale continues to the general public with a new selection of library-withdrawn books. The $5 bag sale is from 4 to 5 p.m. Free parking will be available in all University lots after 4 p.m.

The Friends can always use more books and will gladly accept gently used books, paperbacks, CD’s, DVD’s, and more. Make room for new books by donating your old books to the Friends book sale. All proceeds go to help the Michigan Tech Van Pelt and Opie Library.

• If you have only a few book sale donations, you may drop them off in the Friends Book Drop located in the Library vestibule.

• If you have a box or bag of books, please bring them to the Library Service Desk located on the first floor of the Library. If you require assistance, call the Service Center at 906-487-2508 to have someone meet you at the back door to help.

• For assistance getting book sale donations to the Library call Dana Richter at 482-3361 or e-mail dlrichte@mtu.edu.
