Mercy EMS, Inc. leadership announcement

The Mercy EMS Board of Directors is pleased to share that Patrick Boberg has been named Executive Director of Mercy EMS, effective Apr. 1, 2020. Pat will take over for Gerry Primeau who retired on Dec. 31, 2019, after 50 years of outstanding leadership.

The board would like to express their gratitude to Gerry for his exceptional leadership over the years. His passion for quality care and operational excellence has had a tremendous impact on Mercy EMS and the health and well-being of our communities.

To share more about Pat, he brings with him a strong track record of business and operational management, enhancing quality and patient safety, driving growth, developing and fostering culture, and promoting community engagement. Pat most recently served as a paramedic at Mercy EMS and fire chief for the Calumet Township Fire Department. Before his time there, he served in leadership roles outside of healthcare.

Pat graduated from the Marquette General School of EMT as an emergency medical technician in 2008 and as a paramedic in 2013. He is Michigan Firefighter Officer one – Fire Science licensed by the State of Michigan.

Pat grew up in the small town of Calumet, Michigan.

Outside of work, Pat enjoys the outdoors, watching his children’s sports, Detroit Lions football, and spending time with family. Pat currently resides in Calumet with his wife, Dayra. They have three sons, Dylan, Brandon, and Brady.
