Hiltunen named to MAA Executive Team
Lindsay Hiltunen, University Archivist at the Michigan Technological University Archives and Copper Country Historical Collections, has been elected as the Vice President – President Elect of the Michigan Archival Association (MAA). The election took place at the annual business meeting of the association held on Monday, June 22.
Hiltunen has been a board member of MAA since 2016. During her service as a board member-at-large she served as the chair of the auction subcommittee, which raises funds for the association’s scholarship fund, worked on the communications subcommittee and as a co-editor of the association’s newsletter, and is currently co-chair of the bylaws revision task force.
Hiltunen will serve two years as Vice President and will transition to President in June 2022.
The Michigan Archival Association supports the community of organizations and individuals who care for the state’s materials of cultural heritage and the documentary record through communication and education, and seeks to foster a collaborative and inclusive professional network.
