HANCOCK — Alfred Erickson American Legion Post 186 recently installed a new commercial refrigerator, compliments of a $3000 Home Depot Grant. Post 186 thanks Home Depot of Iron Mountain and the Home Depot Foundation for the award. The grant was applied for as part of their on-going Capital Campaign for post improvements.

According to Commander Rod Guilbault, “The Post is extremely grateful to receive this much needed kitchen upgrade just in time for our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Sept. 27. This Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser is very important as we were unable to hold our dinner last spring. This is our main fundraiser – it helps us to continue to serve veterans, their families and community programs.”

Post 186’s Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, September 27th from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Post home. Service will be curbside only. Tickets can be purchased from any Post 186 Legion member or in the pick-up line the day of the dinner.
