HOUGHTON — Kits are free but please reserve in advance so we know how many to make! Then send us a picture and we’ll make a video!

Our annual gingerbread house decorating event is going online. We will provide decorating kits including a blank house and tree, small selection of candies, “glue”, and a packet of hot cocoa mix. Reserved kits will be available for no-contact pick up in the Museum parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 12 to 1 p.m. Please, if you can, bring a can of food to be donated to a local food pantry. Kits are free, but please reserve ASAP so we know how many to make!

Once you’ve decorated your house and tree, take a picture of your creation (and yourself) and send to us via email or post to our Facebook Event page. Include your first name.

We’ll create a video with your pictures, some traditional holiday string music, and maybe even a cameo from Santa. Then, we’ll upload it in time for the holidays so you can make a cup of cocoa, download the video, and enjoy.
