4-H publishes new edition of Houghton and Keweenaw Counties 2021 Plat Book

The brand new 2021 edition of the Houghton and Keweenaw Counties Plat Book is now available for purchase!

Who owns Houghton and Keweenaw Counties? Thousands of people have a piece of it, and they are listed in the new 2021 edition plat book published by the Houghton/Keweenaw County 4-H Council with Mapping Solutions. The 2021 book is available for purchase for $38 at the MSU Extension office located at 1500 Birch Street in Hancock, Houghton Register of Deeds, Keweenaw County Clerk, and Keweenaw Tourism Council. All profits from sales go directly to our county 4-H program. These funds enable us to offer programs, scholarships, opportunities and more to our H-K 4-H members. This 164-page full color, spiral-bound book features the standard landownership map pages showing townships and ranges of Houghton and Keweenaw Counties, these maps include the property boundaries for all rural parcels, the name of the owner and the number of acres owned. Facing the landownership maps are LiDAR aerial view maps that are enhanced using elevation data from the USGS’s National Elevation Dataset (NED), creating a 3D effect showing the actual topography of the land. Also, there is a handy landowner index for easy cross referencing. In this new edition, you will find information regarding the Houghton/Keweenaw Counties 4-H and Extension programs, Government Directories, Watersheds Maps, Municipal Maps, and County Road Maps for each county as well as a combined Road Index. There are numerous Municipality Maps, information on the Parks of The Keweenaw and the Index of the Initialed Parcels for your easy reference.
