HOUGHTON — Due to the construction project near the Portage Lake District Library, the front door access will be unavailable starting Wednesday, Sept. 29, until further notice. The west end library entrance will be open. Park at the west end of the lower parking deck to access the staircase to the west end entrance of the library.

During this time, our book drop boxes will not be open. Please return library materials inside or keep items until our drop boxes are reopened. We will continue to offer curbside service for pick-up of items. We will also be closed on Friday, Oct. 1, due to a utility interruption. We will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 2, for regular hours.
