Lost hikers found in Houghton County
A hiker and a 6-year-old child who were reported lost in Portage Township on Sunday were found, according to a Sunday release from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 6 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the Pilgrim Community Forest Hiking Trail, the release states.
The hiker and the child were located at approximately 7 p.m. and escorted out of the woods.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Superior Search and Rescue.
