Aidan Reilly/Daily Mining Gazette Emergency crews responded to an early Friday fire at 932 Dodge St. in Houghton, where a man was found dead.

HOUGHTON — Police officers and the Houghton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 932 Dodge St. early Friday morning.

According to a statement from the police department, the call was received at about 1:45 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, Houghton Fire Department crews began extinguishing the flames.

Upon entering the structure, a deceased male was found inside.

The State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene, and the fire remains under investigation.
