The body of a missing 80-year-old Painesdale, Adams Township, man was found Monday in Baraga County, according to the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were seeking the public’s assistance in locating Francis Destrampe, who was last seen around midnight Saturday into Sunday morning, heading west on M-38 in Nisula.

He was believed to have been heading to his hunting camp in the Silver River Reserve.

Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted with the search by Baraga County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the U.S. Forest Service, Michigan State Police, Superior Search and Rescue, Baraga County Search and Rescue, Bay EMS, Michigan Department of Transportation and road commissions from Houghton, Baraga and Ontonagon counties.
