Police: Victim in Hancock domestic violence case released from hospital
HANCOCK — The female victim in a Hancock domestic violence case was released from the hospital Sunday night, Hancock police said Monday.
The male subject is still in the UP Health System – Marquette hospital, Lt. David Outinen said.
Police responded to a 911 call of a domestic violence incident on Hancock Street early Saturday morning. Numerous local departments responded, as well as the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab.
Charges are pending in the case. The suspect has a warrant out for his arrest, Outinen said.
Houghton County Prosecutor Dan Helmer said Monday he had reviewed the report, but that with the hospitalization it was unclear when an arraignment might take place.
