Public invited to free event focused on human trafficking

SOUTH RANGE — The Range Lions Club with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Range Lounge and the U.P. Human Trafficking Task Force are hosting a free public event to bring the community together to learn more about human trafficking and how we as a community can fight against it here in the Upper Peninsula.

Information on how it has affected the U.P., including local incidents, will be presented by Michigan State Police, Houghton County Sheriff’s Office and the UPHTTF on this very present danger and what you can do to prevent it.

All are welcome to attend the event scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the Range Lounge and VFW No. 6165, Baltic Avenue M-26, South Range.

RSVP to Range Lion Gail Mickalich at 906-482-2596 or mickalichg@gmail.com.
