HANCOCK — The driver in a Friday night inci- dent that damaged the boardwalk at Porvoo Park has come forward.

Hancock police cited the driver, an adult male, for failing to report a property damage accident, said Officer Nanue Houle.

About 10:40 p.m. Friday night, when the man drove over the grass and onto the boardwalk at Porvoo Park. As he attempted to turn around, breaking pieces of the boardwalk and damaging the railing, Hancock police said.

After the incident, the department put out a public request for information on the incident.

The Department of Public Works is preparing an estimate on damages, Houle said.
