Man’s body found on roadway
HANCOCK — Hancock police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning.
About 5:40 a.m., police responded to Wright Street, where they found the body of a 50-year-old Hancock man on the roadway. The man appeared to have crashed on his electric scooter, the department said in a release.
Police said the incident does not seem to be suspicious.
The Hancock Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Houghton County Sheriff Department, Michigan State Police, Houghton Police Department, MTU Public Safety, Mercy EMS and the Houghton County Medical Examiners Office.
