Keweenaw County Board meeting tonight

EAGLE RIVER — The Keweenaw County Board of Commissioners regular May meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. this evening, Wednesday, May 20, in the second floor of the Courthouse.

Agenda items for discussion include the consideration of a partnership with Marquette Community Corrections and the Articles of Incorporation for Keweenaw Heartlands Community Forest.

Jay Parent will speak to the Board on the Saving Buffalo Reef Project.

There will be two periods during the meeting reserved for public comment.

Trail work From Ripley to Dollar Bay

RIPLEY — The Keweenaw ATV Club announced there is work ongoing on the Dollar Bay Trail beginning at Ripley and continuing to Dollar Bay.

Workers have started hauling fill and grading in that area.

Trail users are asked to use caution around heavy equipment as operator view is limited and operators may not see oncoming ATVs.
