Chassell school reunion meeting

CHASSELL — The Chassell All School Reunion Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Chassell VFW for the next planning meeting for the reunion picnic that will take place on Sunday, July 12. Sportsmen’s Club Meeting

PHOENIX — The Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen’s Club will hold the June membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 18 at the clubhouse located at 5947 Phoenix Farms Road, Phoenix. The evening begins with a period of social interaction and a meal. Following the meal and general club business, John Griffin with American Songbird Management and Recovery (AMSAR) is the guest speaker. AMSAR is in the process of acquiring around 17,000 acres of land in Allouez Township, consisting of a large portion of the Gratiot River watershed. John will be advising us of AMSAR’s progress and plans for this land acquisition. As always, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
