HOUGHTON -- Three sentences were handed down in 12th Circuit Court Monday in connection with three separate cases. Judge Brittany Bulleit's docket included sentencings for meth possession, home invasion and firing a gun in a building.
62-year-old James Berg was sentenced to a four-month suspended prison sentence with a two-year probationary period. He pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. Berg has had four DUI incidents on record.
41-year old Jason Novak was sentenced to 18-months probation after pleading no contest to a second degree home invasion charge. He indicated to the court he will be serving probation in Wisconsin and pursue mental health treatment.
38-year old Gregory Saunders was sentenced to two-years probation after pleading guilty to firing a loaded gun inside his apartment in March. Saunders said in court he will pursue treatment for alcohol abuse.
