Sentences in Circuit Court

Gazette file photo A total of three sentences were handed down Monday in Houghton County Circuit Court.

HOUGHTON -- Three sentences were handed down in 12th Circuit Court Monday by Judge Brittany Bulleit.

23-year old Houghton resident Brnden Patterson was sentenced to ten months in jail and two years of probation for third degree home invasion and aggravated assault for an incident in April. Patterson pleaded guilty to both charges and must pay $3,157 in restitution to the victim.

27-year old Calumet resident Tylor Harry will serve one month in the Houghton County Jail and one year of probation for his third OUIL charge. Harry pleaded guilty to the charge in July and will have to pay a $500 fine.

26-year old Houghton County resident Dustin Palosaari will serve no additional jail time for possessing methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. Palosaari received credit for his 14 days served in Houghton County Jail. Palosaari pleaded no contest to the charges in July and will serve one year probation.
