HANCOCK — Hancock crews will be busy with several infrastructure projects throughout the summer. MJO Construction will be doing sewer improvements at locations around the city. That includes lining some areas, digging up certain areas and replacing the pipes, and also doing some televising of the sewer structures. Driver identified in Porvoo Park incident

HANCOCK — The driver in a Friday night inci- dent that damaged the boardwalk at Porvoo Park has come forward. Hancock police cited the driver, an adult male, for failing to report a property damage accident, said Officer Nanue Houle. About 10:40 p.m. Friday night, when the man drove over the grass and onto the boardwalk at Porvoo Park. As he attempted to turn around, breaking pieces of the boardwalk and damaging the railing, Hancock police said. Lumberjack Days returning to Baraga

The 2024 Baraga County Lumberjack Days will be returning Wednesday and Thursday. The fun-filled schedule includes a street dance, pancake breakfast, children’s parade, games and a bean bag tournament.
