Kids Day draws hundreds to Hancock

HANCOCK — Physics and puppies shared center stage on Quincy Green Friday for one of the first events of Bridgefest weekend. A large crowd came out for the Kids Day event, which included science and engineering exhibits and an obstacle course. Annual Keweenaw Chain Drive to return with new adventure route

The 2024 Keweenaw Chain Drive Festival will be held June 15, during BridgeFest weekend. Registration is free, and both runners and bikers are welcome to sign up! Registration closed midnight on June 14. This year, the festival will be done in a poker-run style, where runners and riders will collect chips along their routes. The chips will be turned in once they finish the race. Whomever has the best poker hand will win various prize packages. School bands join forces for BridgeFest

School band programs from Lake Linden, Hancock, and Jeffers joined together to debut their community collaborative marching band at BridgeFest. I n a time where local small band programs are working to revitalize, this was Hancock’s first marching band program in a while. The school band mostly plays at events like graduation ceremonies, pep rallies, and athletic events.
