Clifford Therrian, Sr.

CALUMET — Clifford Paul Therrian Sr. Calumet, Michigan passed away on January 19, 2026 at UP Health System Portage in Hancock, Michigan. Clifford was born on May 25, 1937 in Allouez, Michigan to parents Fergus and Veronica (Stefonich) Therrian.

He met the love of his life, Janet Harkonen, and they were married in 1961. Clifford worked as a miner for C&H and Homestead Mining Company. After his retirement, Clifford spent a lot of his time cutting carpet rags and weaving homemade rugs on a loom. In his later years, Clifford really enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren and made them all feel extra special when visiting.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents Fergus and Veronica, and his brothers and sisters in law Fergus Jr. and Louise Therrian, Kenneth and Bernice Therrian, Franklin Therrian, and Thomas Therrian, brother and sisters-in-law Ronald and Marianne Harkonen, Shirley and Gerard Arthon.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 64 years Janet, son Cliff Therrian (Lori LaBelle), daughter Linda Williams (Courtney), daughter Cheryl Fink (Mark) grandchildren Kara Pierce (Derek), Kelly Fink (James Rautio), Kelsey Voelker (Alex), son Brian (Kari) Therrian, grandchildren Kristi

(Jamie) Heinonen, Chad (Becky) Therrian, Cody (Victoria) Therrian, Emmett (Angie) Therrian, Brady (Niina) Therrian, Ethan (Sally) Therrian, Liana, Easton, and Elle Therrian, son Jason (Leanne) Therrian, grandchildren Travis (Emily) Therrian, Ashley (Jeff) Heinonen, Alyssa (Alex)

Skoog, Kyle (Janelle) Therrian, Hunter (Maili) Therrian, Cullen (Claire) Therrian, Arianna, Drake, and Spencer Therrian, and 35 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings Judy Beier, Dorothy Niemela, Phil (Sue) Therrian, and Marge Wagner along with numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins. He is also survived by two fur babies, his dog Baby and his cat Marv.

A service for Clifford Therrian will be held at Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet, Michigan at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 24, 2026. A visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home prior to the service.
