Writer to read, discuss trilogy at Heikinpäivä

Author Mark Munger, a regular contributor to the Finnish American Reporter, will be reading, discussing and signing copies of his Finnish American trilogy at North Wind Books at 601 Quincy St., Hancock, as part of Heikinpäivä on Saturday, Jan. 28, beginning at 1 p.m.

A former prosecuting attorney and retired district court judge from Duluth, Minn., Munger is the author of 13 books, four of which feature Finnish-American history, characters and themes.

When not writing or reading, Munger enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, camping and canoeing and lives on the banks of the wild and scenic Cloquet River with his wife René and three dogs.

Munger’s prior appearances at Heikinpäivä have been well-attended. Be sure to stop in and learn why a non-Finn finds Finns and Finnish Americans so fascinating.
