Charles A. “Charly” Lepisto

KENNEBUNK, Maine – Charles A. “Charly” Lepisto, 39, of Kennebunk, Maine, died unexpectedly of an accidental drug overdose on Jan. 20, 2013.

He was born in Laurium Jan. 10, 1974, to Russell and Sharon “Duffy” Lepisto of Bootjack. He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School, Class of 1992.

Charly lived and worked in the Portland, Ore./Vancouver, Wash. area, Savannah, Ga., and for the past five years lived in Arundel and Kennebunk, Maine.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Art and Esther Lepisto; his maternal grandparents, George and Luva Wilson.

Surviving are his parents, Russ and Sharon Lepisto of Bootjack; his daughter, Savannah Lepisto of Arundel, Maine; two brothers, Jay (Wendy) of Vancouver, Wash. and Michael (Liz) of Kennebunk, Maine; two sisters, Jodi (Tommy) Hatcher of Nashville, Tenn. and Molly (Tom) Kujala of Iron Mountain; his ex-wife, Gillian Riley Lepisto of Arundel, Maine; nieces and nephews, Alexa, Mason, Carter and Cassidy Lepisto, Noah Lepisto, Moses and Luva Hatcher, Zachary, Tucker, Max and Sawyer Kujala, Ryzen Mickeriz; two great-nieces, Alana and Ava Barnett-Lepisto; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation has taken place in Maine and a memorial service will be held in Bootjack in the spring, date to be announced.

We’d love to hear one more “Hi, Mom” or “How’s it going, Dad” but instead we rest assured that Charly was not alone in his final struggle and rejoice in the peace he received as God welcomed him home.
