Edward Carl Heikell

CALUMET – Edward Carl Heikell, died peacefully at his home on Saturday morning, December 27, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 36.

Eddie is a survived by his significant other of 15 years, Jamie Hoganson and their children, Dominic and Vivian Heikell; sister, Carla (Pete) Anderson and their children, Hope and Andy; best friend, Alex (Sam, Hank, and Ike) Waisanen; close family members, Jackie and Jessica Hoganson, Mackenzie Maki, Michelle and Bruce (Cheezy) Holsten; special cousin, Paul Heikell; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other cousins.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Donna Jackman; father, Carl Heikell; brothers, Dale and Randy Jackman; grandparents, Edward and Impi Heikell and George and Margaret Seppala; special aunt, Vicki Jarvi; special cousin, Crystal Petaja and friend, Darren King.

Eddie was a 1997 graduate of Calumet High School. He worked as a machinist for R.E.L. for many years.

He enjoyed fourwheeling, snowmobiling, kayaking, mining (prospecting), and spending time with his family.

He was a great father, family member, and friend. Life will not be the same without him.

We will miss you, “EDBO”.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2014 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob White to officiate.
