Paul R. “Kirby” Frantti

He was born on December 2, 1934 to Emil and Fannie (Parkinen) Frantti in Swedetown.

Paul graduated with the Class of 1952 of Calumet High School.

Paul worked for the Detroit Police Department for six years. Following his employment with the police department, he began working as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance for the next 30 years, retiring in 1997.

Paul is also a life long member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, and a past school board member for the CLK Schools.

Paul is preceded in death by three infant children; daughter, Lisa; two sons, Aaron and John Paul; his parents; and sister, Lorraine Helminen.

Paul is survived by wife, Irene Frantti; sons, Tim (Lori) Frantti of Laurium, Dan (Kelly) Frantti of Spring Grove, Illinois Jonathan Frantti of Howell, Michigan, Eric (Kari) Frantti of Howell, Michigan, Chad (Michelle) Frantti of Howell, Michigan; daughter, Joanne (Matt) Moyryla of Laurium; brothers, Bill (Evie) Frantti of St. Cloud, Minnesota, James “Eli” Frantti of Calumet and Kennewick, Washington, Don (Gail) Frantti of Bete Grise, Michigan; 23 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, December 2, 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. with David Taivalkoski to officiate the service.
