He was born in Onnela, Michigan, on March 18, 1927, a son to William and Hilda (Lantto) Wisti. He graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1956, a mining engineer, but worked in construction most of his life.

On September 25, 1948, he was married to the former Irene S. Aho in Fremont, Ohio. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2009.

Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II.

Ted is survived by two daughters and one son, Jacqueline (Charles) Beall of Charleston, West Virginia, James (Mary) Wisti of New Hudson, Michigan, Joanne Wisti of White Lake, Michigan; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, George G. Wisti of Sinking Spring, Penn.; a sister, Marion Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents and wife, Ted was also preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Kascha; and two brothers, Andrew and Michael Wisti.

A funeral service will be held in the spring at the Mountain View Mortuary in South Range, with a date and time to be announced.

Spring burial will be in the Elo Cemetery.
