Mary Jane Lyle
HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. – Mary Jane Lyle, 88, of Harbor Springs, Michigan died peacefully Sept. 22, 2015, at Hiland Cottage Hospice in Petoskey, Michigan.
Mary Jane was born on June 29, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of William Wellington Bradfield Jr. and Lucille Studley. She attended school at the University of Kentucky. On September 2, 1948, she married Jack Lyle in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Mary Jane enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was involved in helping her community.
Her hobbies included gardening with her husband, interior decorating, entertaining, and antique collecting.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Ann Monsalvatge of Key West, Florida; son, Wm. David (Cynthia) Lyle; daughter, Cynthia Lyle Stanek (Robert); son, Thomas Bradfield Lyle (Kennie); and daughter, Julie Simpson Lyle; grandchildren Marc Cline, Thomas Fricano III, Jack Bradfield Lyle, Jared Andrews, Thomas Andrews, and Tonia Andrews Holmes.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Hiland Cottage, Hospice of Little Traverse Bay, 1 Hiland Dr. Petoskey, Michigan, 49770.
Arrangements were made through Schiller Funeral Home of Harbor Springs. A graveside service will be held at Cuddeback Cemetery, Paw Paw, Michigan on Tuesday September 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at La Cantina restaurant in Paw Paw on the Maple River.
