Dale G. LeClaire

FORT WORTH, Texas Dale Girard “Bo” LeClaire, 72, of Fort Worth, Texas, died unexpectedly, at his home on January 15, 2017.

Dale was born on February 8, 1944, in Baraga, the son of Clifford and Loretta LeClaire.

Dale attended Baraga schools and started working at a young age.

He joined the Army National Guard and served for six years.

While residing in Baraga County, he also volunteered for Bay Ambulance.

Dale was a hardworking man, had many friends and enjoyed the outdoors, especially his camp at Big Lake and later on in life, his cabin in Tennessee.

In 1985, he moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, where he worked and formed very close and long term friendships.

He spent many summers/falls in Baraga County while residing in Florida.

He looked forward to Lumberjack Days in Baraga and riding through the woods during the fall.

He resided in Florida until October 2015, when he relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, to be close to his daughters and grandchildren.

Dale loved golfing, shuffle board, darts, pool, gardening, canning and cooking for his friends and family.

Wherever Dale resided he was an active member of the community.

He was a life-long member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and Eagles Club.

Dale was very passionate about his friends and family. It was important to him to always stay connected and always made a point to contact friends and relatives in whichever part of the country he was in. He loved to reminisce and laugh about the “good ole days.”

He was very witty and humorous and his laugh was infectious!

Dale is survived by his brother, Larry (Jane) LeClaire of Watton; daughter, Jill DiCarlo of Baraga, son, Jerry LeClaire of Hot Springs, Arkansas, son, Brad (Kara) LeClaire of Dickinson, North Dakota, daughter, Gina (Sam) Anderson of Carrolton, Texas, daughter, Dana (Brian) Shumard of Hurst, Texas; his grandchildren, Tony DiCarlo, Kyle Moilanen, Jeremy LeClaire, Cannon Anderson, Jackson Shumard, expected granddaughter, Vale LeClaire; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Loretta LeClaire; brother, Daniel LeClaire, brother Alger LeClaire; and sister, Marcia Cossette.

A celebration of Dale G. LeClaire’s life and memorial service will be held at the American Legion Post 444, Baraga, on January 27, 2017, at 6 p.m. with military rites by the Baraga County Area Veterans under direction of Post 444 and parish prayers by Fr. Corey Litzner. Food and fellowship will follow.

A private burial service will be held at a later date.
