Christine M. Wiitanen-Garza
ROCKWOOD — Christine M. Wiitanen-Garza, 52, a resident of Rockwood and former Hancock resident, passed away December 28, 2017, in Lower Michigan following a lengthy illness.
She was raised in Hancock, daughter of David C. Wiitanen and the late Helen (Schaaf) Wiitanen.
She was a graduate of the Hancock High School and has made her home in the Detroit area for the past 30 years.
Surviving are her children, David Garza and Sara Garza; her grandson; her father, David C. Wiitanen; her sister, Donna (John) Watson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held later this spring.
The Memorial Chapel & Plowe Funeral Homes of Hancock are assisting the family with the local arrangements.
