Dana M. Domitrovich
TOMAHAWK, Wis. — Dana M. Domitrovich, 56, of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Dana was born May 14, 1961, in Ontonagon, to Anthony and Barbara (Goulet) Domitrovich. Dana later married and raised her children with her former spouse, David Brookins.
After high school, Dana attended college obtaining her Masters in English Literature. She taught for 22 years at Ontonagon Area High School, three years in Akiak, Alaska, and most recently at Northwest Passages in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Dana loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time at the beach on Lake Superior, traveling to Ireland and directing theater.
Dana was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Rene Domitrovich.
Her survivors include her significant other, Floyd Gentiline; her parents, Barbara and Tony Domitrovich; her children, Cara (Jason Spayer) Brookins and Sam (Erin) Brookins; two siblings, Antoinette (Joe Basina) Basile and Andrea (Carl) Von Seggern; her grandchildren, Aidan, Eamonn and Marley Brookins, and Declan Spayer.
A Celebration of Life for Dana will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, with a luncheon to follow in the church basement.
