Tina Strack

SOUTH RANGE/MISERY BAY — Tina A. Strack, 52, a well-known resident of South Range/Misery Bay and owner of Tina’s Katalina passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on July 18th, 1965, in Hancock, a daughter of the late Sam and Nancy (Wiitanen) Verran. Tina attended the South Range and Jeffers Schools.

On August 20, 1989, she was united in marriage to Peter Strack. Tina had worked as a waitress and cook for various restaurants in the area. in 2010, she was able to purchase her own restaurant in South Range and has operated Tina’s Katalina since that time.

She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Peter Strack of South Range; her sons, Kenny Verran of Lovell, WY and Roger Strack of Trimountain; her grandchildren, Brody and Arabella; her sisters, Debbie Verran of South Range and Theresa Verran of Painesdale; a special niece, Jennifer (Avery) Paavola of Williston, ND; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A time to celebrate Tina’s life will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock from 4 to 7 P.M.
