Terry Meyers

Terry was born August 3, 1963, and spent his youth in Houghton. He attended the Houghton Elementary School and graduated from Houghton High School in 1981. Terry attended college at Shasta College in Redding, California, and California State University in Chico, California.

During the Gulf War, Terry was on active duty with the United Stated Navy.

While in the Navy, Terry was stationed at U.S. Air Force bases overseas where he served as a cryptologist. Terry loved cryptology because it challenged his exceptional technical expertise.

Terry received several recognitions while in the service. After eight years in the Navy, Terry returned to the Houghton area and opened Meyers Computer Services, a business he ran for many years.

Terry provided technical service to his customers and enjoyed the friendly interactions he had with them until recently when he could no longer do so because of his increasing health issues.

Terry, who was married for many years, is survived by his parents, Don and Carm (Guilbault) Meyers; sister, Holly Meyers; nephew, Nicholas Dolloff; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents; and by his brother, Rick Meyers.

At Terry’s request, no formal service will be held.
