Kathleen M. (Nuttall) Zimmerman
TAMARACK CITY — Kathleen M. (Nuttall) Zimmerman, 81, of Tamarack Hill died on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Aspirus Hospital-Wausau, Wisc. She was born on August 12, 1938 in Hancock, a daughter of the late Ronald S. and Agnes (Grandchamp) Nuttall. She graduated from Hancock High School with the class of 1956. She was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone as an operator in her earlier years, and was a home health care aide for the local health department. On May 27, 1966 she was married to Peter G. Zimmerman in Hancock.
Kathie always put the needs of others before her own, giving of herself, her time, or her baking, cooking, or crafts. Many dollars were raised for the local animal organizations by selling her crafts, mostly from her idea of making crocheted catnip mice. She was also an excellent gardener and enjoyed her time boating or at the beach.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter G. Zimmerman; her parents; and her brother, Ronald F. Nuttall.
She is survived by a son, Karl Zimmerman; a sister, Mary (Lonny) Nuttall-Naasko; a brother-in-law, Bob (Shirley) Zimmerman; best friend, Mary L. Klein; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interments and graveside services will be held later at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton. Her family would like to thank the Green Tree of Hubbell for their kind and compassionate care.
