Matthew Burich

LAURIUM — Myles went Home to Our Lord on Friday, January 17, 2020, (on the 10 year anniversary of his Father’s death).

He was born on Thursday, June 9, 1955, to Anton A. “Tony” and June D. “Ducky” (Phillips) Burich, in Laurium, where he grew up and was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Church, where he was baptized on June 19, 1955. He attended Sacred Heart Central and graduated from Calumet High School, Class of 1973. He was the training officer for the ROTC battalion, where he achieved many ROTC and track medals.

After graduating on June 4, 1973, on June 12th he enlisted into the 1st all volunteer United States Army and received a high welcome and left for the Army on June 22 for training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He graduated from basic training on August 16, 1973, and his parents attended proudly.

Myles then went on to Ft. Lewis, Washington on August 27, 1973, and took his time travelling with two good friends & fellow Army buddies, Daniel and Tracy. They arrived in Ft. Lewis, WA on August 31st, 1973, where he graduated on Nov. 16, 1973, AIT. While doing his “Army” thing, Myles met the Love of his life Rose (Trailor) on May 9th, 1975 and they married April 16, 1977 and wasted no time starting their family. They have three children; Tiffany (Aaron) De Montmorency, Eric (Brook Hale) and Brian. They resided in Laurium & Calumet area until 1983, moving to WA to be closer to Rose’s family as God called. For the past 30+ years, Myles worked enjoying his job and doing it well at Tacoma Tent and Awning Company. There is way too much to mention of Myles’ life here on earth, yet God, Family and Friends were his life, along with anyone in need. He was full of Love and spread it proudly and humbly. Myles is survived by his Mother June (91), his wife Rose, his mother in law Wilma, his children Tiffany (Aaron), Eric (Brook), Brian and his grandchildren Bradley, Olivia, Zackary, Sean, Becky, Hawk, Jeremy (Cheyanne) and his great granddaughter Elaina. Myles is also survived by his brother and sister in laws; Torry (Stephen), Mark (Maryann), William (Pat), Bonnie (Bennie) and Ken, along with multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Myles also leaves behind two foster sisters; Carol Koski and Theresa “Teri” Ball Meyers-Green, with 300+, and his 5 blood Brothers and Sisters; Colleen Fritcher (who married the Love of her life Dennis Eugene Fritcher, in 1972. Dennis went Home to Our Lord only six months ago on Sunday, July 21, 2019, also unexpectedly, at the age of 68.), Craig (Sue), Blake (Lori “Pink”), Kent (Deneen) and Antonia.

Viewing will be on Friday, Jan 31, 2020, at the Tuell McKee Funeral Home, located at 2215 6th Ave. Tacoma, WA, 98403 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
