Leo W. Torola
PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Leo W. Torola, 90, of Plymouth, Minnesota, formerly of Calumet, passed away on February 15, 2020, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
Leo is survived by survived by his beloved wife, Esther; children, Denise (Steve) Johnson, Larry (Heidi) Torola, Diane Torola, John (Tracey) Torola, Steve (Mary) Torola, Barb (Tim) Korkko and Cathy (Steve) Tarnowski; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Bill) Tolkkinen, Ellen Ylitalo, Lana Heinonen and Judy (Jack) Haataja; brothers, Bob (Lorraine) and Allan (Maria) Torola; sister-in-law, Ellen Torola; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Aili and Walter Torola; sister, Eva Torola; brothers, Peter and Paul Torola; brothers-in-law, Ed Heinonen and Chester Ylitalo.
Funeral service is on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 2300 Cox Trail, Long Lake, Minnesota.
Interment will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Visitation will be on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran church, and again one hour prior to the funeral service.
