Susan Lynn Solomonson

She is the wife of Paul Solomonson of Laurium, and eldest daughter of the late George Stadig and Mattie Sue Stadig.

Preceded in death by her beloved brother, Steve Stadig.

She is survived by sisters, Norma Podborny and Pamela (Jeff) Swanson; her children, Randi (Tom) Thomas and Antonio (Kelli) Garza; stepchildren, Beverly Solomonson, John Solomonson and Justin Solomonson; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

Mrs Solomonson was a longtime resident of both Laurium and Southgate. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Southgate and worked for Southgate School District for many years. Later in life, she received a degree from Madonna University and worked as a social worker.

She was a movie buff and had a passion for theater and performing in her youth. She will be deeply missed by many, notably her granddaughter, Skyler Thomas of Laurium, with whom she shared a special bond.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Hausman to officiate.

Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Sunday, July 26, 2020, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
